Project Overview

During my time in Whyyy I worked on a temp booking system for a client in the medical industry. Previously the booking of temps had been done in Excel, via e-mail and phone - a process that was timely and complex. The project was done in close collaboration with the end-user of the system, as it was the client himself.

My Contributions

As the only designer in the team I was responsible for facilitating workshops, wire framing, iterating, mock up, prototyping, user testing, and presenting.

Co-creation workshop

At the first workshop I had the client/end user show me how he worked today with the tools that he was currently using; e-mail, Excel, etc.

Afterwards we mapped out the logic of booking temps according the skills, location, preference, law restrictions, etc.

Wire framing and discussing technical implications

Along with software engineers I discussed technical constraints and possibilities for the solution, and started doing some wire farmes while we discussed. Afterwards I developed wire farms for all relevant pages in the solution.

UI design, interactive prototyping and user testing

To make sure that the preposed solution was clearly communicated to the client mock ups were made and connected in an interactive prototype (in Figma) for the client to try out. Additional needs were discussed and the proposed designs were iterated as a result of this meeting.
